Workpackage 7 : Project management

OBJECTIVES
The administrative and financial management of the project.
Description of work:
- 7.1 Management:
- 7.1.1 The Co-ordinator - he will keep close contact with EC contact point and with his Project Management Team. The Co-ordinator receives payments made by the EC and distributes these between partners and sub-contractors. He will also keep each participant informed of the information received from the EC contact point and the work progress and will call for meetings. Together with the Project Management Team he will be responsible for ensuring the achievements of the tasks and will prepare progress and final reports.
- 7.1.2 The Project Management Team - will be responsible for fulfilling the contract, the specific work packages and the achievements of the aims and milestones that are part of these work packages.
- 7.1.3 The Contract Managers - will keep in contact with the Co-ordinator as well as the other Contract Managers involved in the project.
- 7.2 Meetings - project meetings and Project Management Team meetings will be organised at least annually by one of the partners. The dates of these meetings will be decided upon during the first meeting. The Co-ordinator chairs the meetings and co-ordinates the reporting.
- 7.3 Dissemination of results - new diagnostic experience and knowledge about viruses and virus properties will be transferred in different ways. Results that can be made public will be placed on the part of the website that will be accessible to everyone. Results will be presented not only at the yearly meeting of the project group but also at the yearly meeting of the EU reference laboratories for vesicular diseases and at the meeting of the FAO EUFMD Research Group (RG). This RG brings together every 2 years 32 countries of Europe and reference laboratories representatives from all other continents also attend this meeting.
